Willowfest is entering its 42nd year of Competition. As part of our expansion of our Championships, Willowfest will be conducting the inaugural World Willowfest Junior Cricket Championships in Mildura, Victoria Australia from 17th – 24th December 2019.
We are currently seeking expressions of Interest for the Inaugural Willowfest World Junior Cricket Championships. Players competing will be Under 16 as on the 1st December 2019.
Willowfest plan for 8 International teams to participate at these inaugural Championships.
An option will be available for the junior teams to stay over the Xmas break and also participate in the open age Willowfest Australian Championships from 27th – 30th December 2019. There will a 2-day break between the Junior Tournament & the senior Willowfest tournament.
Willowfest World Junior Cricket Championships
Eligibility: Players Age – Under 16 1st December 2019
Dates: Arrive 15th December & Depart 25th December 2019
Touring Party: 13 players & 2 officials
Game Formats:
- Day 1 1 x 50 Over game – 17th December
- Day 2 & 3 3 x T20 games – 18th – 19th December
- Day 4 Rest Day – 20th December
- Day 5 & 6 2 x 50 Over games – 21st – 22rd December
- Day 7 3 x T10 games – 23rd December
- Day 8 Finals 1 x 50 over game – 24th December
8 team places are available
2 pools of 4 teams
All games played on Turf – (weather permitting)
Includes:
- Accommodation incl. 3 meals/day
- local Bus – includes Fuel & driver
- Team Entry in the competition
- Bus Hire – Melbourne – Mildura – Melbourne
- Bottled Water & Snacks etc while in Australia
- Civic Reception 16th December
- Team manager & meet & greet 16th December at Willowfest HQ
